Isn't the 300ZX TT like 3,550 lbs stock? No amount of springs/shocks are going to overcome that. Also, keep in mind that the driver is VERY important in handling... you need to be able to get the most from your vehicle no matter what it is. Ever heard the phrase: "Mod the driver, not the car"? I have no baseline to judge the Z's handling... I can't help but think you are stretching a bit and would defend your own car to the very death (i.e. my car is the most perfect car in the world, etc.). This was directed towards Z Pyrate as almost everything he says is that the Z is better (ok, I'll give you the straight line argument) but you either don't give sufficient reasoning (like how you mentioned the Z was "nicer" but didn't back it up) or I think your acceleration stories are a bit exagerated or just not representative of the cars themselves.
